About Us!

The American Guide Series Online

Our goal is to digitize, illustrate, & link all 31,000 pages of these famous works (see About The Guides). To help with this, the Western History & Genealogy Department of the Denver Public Library, and the Colorado Historical Society, have provided access to 120,000 images in the DPL's digital image collection, We can also publish your local content at our expansion Heritage Site [a group of web pages at AmericanGuides.org describing the heritage of a town, historic site or a natural area of interest].  Eventually, all of our content will be linked to the many other reliable heritage resources on the web -meanwhile, enjoy a trip through 1930's America with the online versions of the American Guide Series.
